Then you can log into the CCCC Connections site in one of two ways:

1. Click the User Login button (on left) to assume the identity of one of the “canned” members. When prompted for a Username and Password, use one of the Usernames below, and a Password of demo. The “canned” usernames are:
 

This demo site is a working model of a CommuniShare application for a fictional community, the “CommuniShare County Community College” (CCCC). This “community” is composed of students, faculty, staff, alumni and local area residents. The demo has actual “canned” entries posted in it by a number of “canned” members of the community.

You’ll be able to log in as one of these “canned” members, or create a new member identity. In either case, you can search for or browse the entries posted by others, add (and modify or delete) your own entries, view member profiles, read the FAQ’s and so on. (What you won’t be able to do is send emails to other “canned” members, since they don’t really exist.) However, since this is not an actual community, the index will be periodically reset, and all “new” (that is, other than “canned”) members and entries will be deleted.

So, while this is not a “real” CommuniShare application for a “real” community, it should give you an idea of how the service works from the perspective of a member. 2. Click the Register Now! button (on left), and fill in the Registration Form to create your own identity.

Notes:

• When you register for this demo your account will be active immediately, and you can log in and use the various features. Most real CommuniShare applications are set up to more rigorously validate registrants as members of the community.
• Any new members created by this method (as well as their Entries) will be deleted when the site is periodically reset.
